Urgent opening for Float English & SST Primary Teacher

Job Title: Grade 1 - 4 Primary Teacher

Location: Vishwajyot High School, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra

Position Overview

The Primary Float Teacher supports the smooth functioning of the school by taking over classrooms when primary teachers are absent, in training, or engaged in school duties. The role requires flexibility, strong classroom management, and the ability to teach different subjects at the primary level using age-appropriate methods.

Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Instruction

• Deliver lessons as per the plan provided by the class/subject teacher.
• Engage students using interactive, child-friendly teaching strategies.
• Manage multi-level classrooms when assigned across different grades (1–5).
• Conduct learning activities, reading sessions, arts/crafts, or reinforcement activities when lesson plans are not provided.

Student Supervision & Support

• Ensure student safety, discipline, and well-being during class and transition periods.
• Assist with supervision during assemblies, snack/lunch breaks, dispersal, and outdoor activities.
• Support students with classwork, homework, and early learning skills.

Administrative & Academic Assistance

• Assist primary teachers with preparing teaching materials, displays, and resources.
• Help with correction of simple worksheets, notebooks, and class assessments when required.
• Support class teachers during events, celebrations, and field trips.

Communication & Collaboration

• Coordinate with Primary Coordinator for daily schedules and assignments.
• Update the regular teacher about classroom progress, student behavior, or any incidents during substitution.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Professional Conduct

• Follow school policies relating to discipline, punctuality, and safety.
• Participate in training programs and staff meetings.
• Maintain a warm, nurturing, and child-friendly classroom environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
