Job description A Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing the construction of structural components of a project at the site level. This role involves ensuring that the construction process adheres to the structural design, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Site Engineers are involved in managing teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring that the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities of a Site Engineer: • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to finalize project scope and design. • Define project objectives and ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the project goals. • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of the construction phases. • Represent the client interests during all phases of civil construction projects. • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents. • Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with design, codes, and quality standards. • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities to resolve issues. • Track project progress and provide regular reports to the client and internal management. • Assess and validate contractor work progress and recommend payment approvals. • Participate in site meetings and report on technical and schedule matters. • Ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are maintained on-site. • Identify project risks and propose mitigations to avoid cost or time overruns.
