Job Title: Application Development / Maintenance- Senior Associate

The job role is part of a Global Technology Support function within SSGA IT that supports the firm's public facing websites, critical client reporting applications and BPM processes. A candidate in this position needs to have proven track record of supporting complex multi-tier enterprise applications with a wide variety of technology stack. Candidate should have very good command in Java, Spring boot, JS, SQL/PLSQL and very good understanding of ITIL concepts, effective problem solving and analytical skills in addition to having good business communications.

He / she would be involved in working on small development projects, along with the fixes required as part of resolving production issues (L3). He/She need to support day-to-day technical support and operations ensuring effective turn around on production issues faced across multiple applications at the same time with different levels of priorities. A person in this role would need to demonstrate effective problem solving skills across concerns like Infrastructure, Data Supply, content publishing and content generation, application issues or user concerns. The position is based in Bangalore and is part of a Global technical support and delivery team.

Education and Experience -

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering discipline. (BE, B.Tech, MCA) Preferable : 7-10 years of strong technical industry experience with below mentioned technology skills

The Technology skills expected to perform in this role are listed as follows -

MUST HAVE

Candidate should have sound Knowledge and hands on experience on Java8, Springboot, CoreJava, Java Script. Candidate should have experience and should be ready to work on Production support assignments. Candidate should have experience in working with L3/Problem management OR the candidate should be ready to work on minor development fixes as SME. Strong debugging/ Problem investigation skill candidate would be required to debug application functionality in the process of resolving problems or tactical fixes to code. Sound database skills in Oracle should be able to write complex SQL queries or debug them effectively, preparing tactical fixes to address urgent business requests or problems. Good knowledge in Unix / Linux, shell or PERL scripting and able to run ad-hoc commands and developing scripts to automate batch processing.

GOOD TO HAVE

Working knowledge on Python development and React JS is a plus. Working knowledge of integrating with SOAP/REST API back-end services or API manager like WSO2. Working knowledge of developing and deploying code in a CI/CD (BitBucket/Jenkins) landscape General concepts of Security, Authentication, Networking, Load Balancers, CDN, etc as required for troubleshooting incidents

GoodGood understanding of middleware/container technologies like WebLogic, jBoss and related technology Experience in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) or similar CMS (Content Management System) technologies is a plus. Experience with monitoring solutions like Dynatrace, Splunk or similar industry tool is a plus Working knowledge in Workfront Fusion is a plus.

Related skills and expectations -

Sound concepts and understanding of Life Cycle - Change Management, Problem management, Incident management. Preferable to have experience in ServiceNow. Coordinating with Infrastructure support teams, resolving production issues affecting our critical applications caused by outages on network, servers and other Infrastructure components like Autosys batch processing Willingness to be able to attend to weekend support on a rostering basis sense of ownership to be able to attend to P1/Critical outages 24.7. Able to Manage Executionshould possess very good communication skills both verbal and written ability to call for meetings and drive projects and conference calls to resolve issues. Should be effective in managing business expectations as First line of Defense.
