As a Transformer Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering transformers and custom magnetics, including preparing manufacturing documentation and drawings. You will develop accurate estimates in alignment with the marketing and profit strategies set by the company. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work directly with customers to achieve the sales and marketing objectives of the company. Your responsibilities will include being well-versed in and applying industry standards that govern the design and manufacture of various types of transformers. You will run quotation designs for the sales department, which will be reviewed by an Engineering Head/Supervisor before going to sales. Ensuring transformer reliability through various tests such as Dielectric Tests, Thermal behavior, and short circuit behavior will be a key part of your role. You will also be in charge of electrical advance material ordering, design, and packaging. Utilizing CAD systems or other appropriate computer programs, you will produce design drawings and apply industry standards governing the design and manufacture of different types of Power, Distribution, and special transformers. Generating Bills of Material (BOM) for all core and coil assembly materials and overseeing the work of junior electrical engineers and technicians will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will involve reviewing and checking designs produced by other electrical designers for conformance to specifications and completing design activities according to schedule requirements assigned by the supervisor. You will collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve company production and sales targets. Additionally, you will need to read, understand, and implement the ISO-9001 QMS (Quality System Manual) strictly.
