UK Financial Planning OR Paraplanner

Job Title - Paraplanner

Preparation of Financial Plans:

a) Assist advisers in preparation of suitability

reports and annual review letters for clients.

b) Prepare reports and recommendations

covering areas such as pensions, investments,

tax planning, and protection.

Client Support:

c) Liaise with financial advisers to understand

client objectives.

d) Gather and analyse client data to ensure

recommendations are well-informed.

Research & Analysis:

e) Conduct detailed investment and pension

research to identify suitable financial

products and solutions.

f) Keep up to date with changes in financial

products, legislation, and compliance

requirements.

Administrative Tasks:

g) Data update & Document Management

h) Preparation of Letters of Authority (LoAs)

i) Managing provider correspondence

Compliance:

j) Ensure all recommendations comply with

FCA regulations and company policies.

k) Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files

and records.

Cashflow Modelling and financial projections

l) Conduct cash flow analysis and review

customers finances annually

Team Collaboration:

m) Collaborate with advisers, administrators, and

other paraplanners to ensure smooth client

service delivery.

n) Contribute to process improvements and best

practices within the team.

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in

Finance

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a

UK paraplanning or similar role.

• Strong understanding of UK financial

products, tax planning, and investment

strategies.

• Proficiency in financial planning software

(e.g., Xplan, Intelliflo, Voyant).

• Proficiency in research tools (e.g.,

Selecta, Defacto, O&M Profiler)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving

skills.

• Strong attention to detail and

organizational skills.

• Familiarity with FCA regulations and

compliance standards.

• High level of computer efficiency

including Microsoft Office, Outlook.

Desirable:

• Certified Financial Planner status or

working towards it through FPSB

• Level 4 Certification in Paraplanning

through CII
