Description
As a Design Intern at Aereo, your primary focus will be to help maintain and evolve the design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across our products Aereo Cloud web app & Aereo Go - mobile app. You will play a crucial role in supporting foundational design work, collaborating closely with other designers and stakeholders. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to user research activities and various design tasks, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and improve the design system - Experiment and generate new product/feature ideas - Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to drive informed decisions - Hand over designs to developers **Qualifications Required:** - Showcase user-centered designs in your portfolio that are beautiful, delightful, and easy-to-use - Demonstrate empathy towards user needs and experiences - Understand web design guidelines - Familiarity with design guidelines for Android & iOS - Ability to balance different use cases and prioritize effectively - Create visuals that are quick, clear, creative, and inspiring **Desired Skills:** - Proficiency in design & prototyping tools like Figma, Framer - Knowledge of using AI agents & GPT models in design-research workflows - Experience in designing mobile apps for iOS & Android - Collaborative work experience with front-end engineers - Familiarity with design systems such as Material Design, Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, etc. - Understanding of GIS data formats and interfaces - Knowledge of HTML and CSS - Experience in designing data processing-oriented user experiences for power-users In addition to the above qualifications, familiarity with Material Design Guidelines, Human Interface Guidelines, User Research, Typography, Color Theory, Interaction Design Principles, User-Centered Design, Accessible Design A11Y, Design System, Wireframing, Mockups, Prototyping, Usability Testing, Design Thinking Framework, Responsiveness, Heuristic Evaluation, and Information Architecture will be beneficial for this role.,
