Description
As a UI Lead Engineer at Birdeye, you will be a key player in enhancing the performance, reliability, and user experience of features while contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes. Your role will involve actively engaging in resolving bugs, delivering new features, and ensuring high-quality technical solutions. You will support engineering and product teams in maintaining technical excellence, reliability, and user-friendly interfaces. Additionally, you will mentor and develop engineers within the team, estimate project efforts, identify risks, manage project schedules, and drive team expansion by recruiting top engineering talent. Key Responsibilities: - Actively engage in resolving bugs and delivering new features, ensuring high-quality technical solutions. - Support engineering and product teams in maintaining technical excellence, reliability, and user-friendly interfaces. - Mentor and develop engineers within the team, fostering their growth and career advancement. - Serve as a thought leader and mentor, providing guidance on technical, architectural, and design-related matters. - Estimate project efforts, identify risks, and effectively manage project schedules to meet deadlines. - Drive team expansion by recruiting top engineering talent, from initial outreach to final hiring decisions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and deliver end-to-end products and features. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with hands-on experience in developing web applications. - Strong expertise in Node.js and server-side technologies, focusing on building scalable and robust systems. - Extensive experience in React.js & Redux, Webpack, and ES6, with a track record of delivering high-quality UI components. - 6 years or more of total experience in software development. - Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership role, with current technical proficiency. - Ability to facilitate consensus among stakeholders and effectively communicate between engineering and other teams. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and challenges. - Proper hands-on page and App performance.
