The Software Engineer will participate in all aspects of research and development activities, collaborating with product owners and user experience teams to design, develop, and implement innovative cloud-focused applications utilizing technologies like JavaScript, React, and nodeJS. Within a robust continuous integration and continuous deployment environment, the Software Engineer will work with their team and other teams to introduce new product features, enhance product quality, and address customer issues. Responsibilities include designing, modifying, and implementing software features, ensuring quality through design/code reviews and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, collaborating closely with customers and support teams to resolve customer cases efficiently, and continuously enhancing the product by identifying and addressing design limitations, maintenance problems, and product reliability issues. In the area of Engineering Work, the Software Engineer will develop key skills in Verint applications, deliver robust solutions by collaborating with team members, resolve complex problems with a balanced approach, ensure quality through code reviews and testing, participate in customer calls for issue resolution, break tasks into manageable components, act as a subject matter expert, and take ownership of existing processes when necessary. Additionally, the Software Engineer will identify, highlight, and resolve issues, report daily progress at scrum meetings, communicate effectively with relevant parties about development activities, and report self-development needs to their mentor or line manager. The Software Engineer will collaborate with internal teams such as QA, product owners, user experience teams, services & support teams, and their line manager, as well as with external entities like customers and third parties. Required skills and experience include being highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, possessing problem-solving and decision-making skills, analytical skills, the ability to work independently, good interpersonal and communication skills, experience working closely with customers and third parties, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical environment. Technical requirements include experience with Agile methodologies, unit and integration testing, debugging tools, legacy and greenfield codebases, writing clean and maintainable code, JavaScript and React development, Chrome dev tools, web markup languages, reactive and functional programming paradigms, CI/CD knowledge, API development, performance testing tools, and software development lifecycle methodologies. Desirable qualifications include experience in test-driven development, JavaScript backend frameworks like ExpressJS, familiarity with front-end build pipelines and tools, and a degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering, along with a minimum of three years of commercial experience in JavaScript development.,
