As a Commis 2 Chef, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of traditional Nepali dishes and operate the tandoor oven under the supervision of senior chefs. You are expected to uphold the highest standards of hygiene, food quality, and consistency while learning and growing within the culinary team. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Cooking Assist in preparing and cooking a wide range of traditional Nepali dishes (e.g., momo, dal bhat, sel roti, gundruk, achar, etc.). Operate the tandoor oven efficiently to cook items like naan, tandoori chicken, sekuwa, and other grilled dishes. Ensure that all mise-en-place is completed before service begins. Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines as directed by senior chefs. Monitor food portions and minimize waste. Kitchen Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station. Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients. Follow proper stock rotation and labeling procedures (FIFO system). Work collaboratively with other team members and departments. Food Safety & Hygiene Follow HACCP and all food safety standards strictly. Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly. Learning & Development Take initiative to learn new techniques in tandoor and Nepali cuisine. Participate in training sessions and skill development programs. Accept feedback positively and show continuous improvement. Key Skills & Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (preferably in Nepali cuisine and tandoor).
