Train Control System Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement technical knowledge of train control systems, including signaling, train protection, and communication systems.
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for train control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize system performance.
• Ensure familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to train control systems.
• Collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage requirements using tools such as DOORS and apply system modeling methodologies.
• Oversee design planning and achievement of Design/Verification reviews throughout the Design For Quality cycle.
• Deliver all TC & IS Engineering outputs, including network configuration and project documentation, in compliance with quality commitments.
• Manage interfaces and ensure follow-up of subsystems, including electrical components and communication systems.
• Support industrial and manufacturing areas during First Train Assembly and commissioning during First Train tests.
• Formulate design solutions that meet customer requirements, maximizing the reuse of proven design patterns.
• Prepare customer documentation on system descriptions around TCMS products.

Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in Train Control Management Systems (TCMS) and Train Control Systems
• Knowledge of Train Ground Communication systems
• Familiarity with SysML and system modeling methodologies
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, network optimization, and system performance improvement
• Experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in train control systems
