Tool Designer

• Study product design and customer requirements to develop mould designs.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using UG NX CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, CATIA, Creo).
• Design plastic injection moulds (single cavity, multi-cavity, hot runner, cold runner, etc.).
• Perform mould flow analysis to check filling, cooling, warpage, and cycle time feasibility.
• Select appropriate mould base, cooling system, ejection system, and gating system.
• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation for mould manufacturing.
• Coordinate with tool room, machining, and production teams for design validation and modifications.
• Implement design changes based on trial reports and customer feedback.
• Ensure mould designs comply with quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness standards.
• Support troubleshooting of mould-related issues during trials and production.
