Title Thunderhead + Java

As a Software Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing a best-in-class Investment Platform solution to support client reporting and distribution within the IP Programme. You will collaborate with technical architects and business analysts to understand the scope and requirements, ensuring the optimal technology solution aligns with the business proposition. Your duties will include leading high and low-level design, coding, unit testing, and providing delivery estimates. Additionally, you will work closely with architects to define and maintain technical delivery methods, such as design and coding guidelines to meet functional and non-functional requirements, compliance with unit test coverage, security guidelines, build processes, and code maintainability. Acting as a single point of contact for the project manager/architect, you will provide necessary support throughout the development and testing phases. You will also be involved in exploring new tools and technologies to enhance our offerings to different business groups. To be successful in this role, you should possess 3-7 years of experience in Information Technology within an application delivery and support function, particularly in the reporting discipline. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in building and delivering reporting solutions using Thunderhead Template is required. Strong knowledge and understanding of Oracle databases, as well as proficiency in advanced MS-Office concepts, are preferred. Ideally, you should hold a B-Tech, MBA, or MCA degree in a relevant field from a reputable institute. Your ability to focus on customer needs, excellent communication skills suitable for diverse audiences, and hands-on knowledge of essential Software Engineering principles will be crucial for success in this role. Exposure to the Financial Services domain, especially Mutual Funds and Fund Accounting, would be advantageous. Certification in Java/J2EE is a plus, along with expertise in flowcharting, data modeling, process modeling, form design, report design, and control procedures.
