Title Senior Software Engineer

As a senior full-stack software engineer at Commenda, you will have the opportunity to drive the growth and development of one of our key products, which could include incorporation services, corporate tax filings, or transaction taxes such as VAT, GST, and US sales tax. Your responsibilities will involve taking a product from the initial prototype stage to a fully realized and functional offering by identifying and implementing necessary features and flows. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work closely with a product owner to understand business requirements and drive the development and expansion of the product and its associated line of business. You will also be instrumental in working with and enhancing Commenda's core data model, collaborating with the team responsible for CommendaOS, our corporation data management system. Your contributions to the data model will be essential in filling any gaps and extending it to support the unique requirements of your product. In terms of technology stack, you will be working with React, TypeScript, and Next.js for the frontend, while the backend will utilize Nest.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Prisma, and PostgreSQL. Your expertise in building full-stack web applications will be invaluable, and the role offers the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in either frontend or backend development while being open to continuous learning. This position is based in Bangalore or San Francisco, and requires in-office presence Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional coding experience and a strong background in full-stack web development. While specific programming language expertise is not mandatory, a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies is highly valued. Additional qualifications that would be advantageous for this role include experience in devops and prior collaboration with international teams. Candidates without a college degree will still be considered based on their exceptional skills and qualifications.
