As a Working Engineer in Fire & PHE at Jacobs, your role will involve carrying out the design for Pharma Process Drainage System Network. You need to be familiar with systems such as Double Trap System with Sterile Configuration, Bio Waste Drains, High & Low TDS Drainage system, Steam Condensate Drainage system, etc. It is essential to understand PIDs and translate them into Layouts. Coordination with the Process Team and Vendors to understand the exact configuration of equipment is crucial. You will be responsible for designing Plumbing Drainage (Internal and External), Water supply, Stormwater Drainage, Rainwater Harvesting, Fire Protection System (PHE) for Pharma Buildings, FMCG, Data Centers, Electric Vehicle manufacturers, EV battery manufacturers, Paint, and industrial projects. Ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards and delivering quality outputs with safety in design will be part of your responsibilities. In the area of FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM, you will be responsible for designing and specifying fire suppression systems for various project types. This includes wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and storage tanks. Knowledge of special systems like foam, spray, mist, clean agent, wet/dry chemical, and carbon dioxide is preferred. Keeping up to date with industry practices, codes & standards, performing hydraulic calculations, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing scope within schedule and budget are key aspects of this role. For PROCESS DRAINAGE & PLUMBING SYSTEM, you will oversee the design of Process Drainage System, Plumbing, and fire protection systems. This includes Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Documentation. Your responsibilities will also involve designing water supply, sewerage, Process Drainage system, stormwater systems, rainwater harvesting, and more. Coordinating with other disciplines, conducting quality reviews, and staying updated with industry practices and codes are essential. To qualify for this role, you should have a B.E / B. Tech degree in Civil / Mechanical engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in design consultancy or contracting is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and experience with 3D modeling tools like SmartPlant 3D, Civil 3D, or REVIT will be beneficial.
