Role Overview: You will be joining as a full-time, on-site Ph.D. candidate specializing in Numerical Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) at IIT Tirupati. Your main focus will be on advancing computational and mathematical techniques for solving PDEs, with possible applications in physics, engineering, environmental modeling, and data-driven scientific computing. Key Responsibilities: - Developing and analyzing numerical algorithms for PDEs - Implementing computational methods using high-performance computing (HPC) platforms such as GPU/parallel computing - Conducting theoretical and applied research to contribute original knowledge in numerical analysis and PDE modeling - Presenting work at academic conferences and publishing in peer-reviewed journals - Collaborating with faculty and peers on interdisciplinary projects - Serving as a teaching assistant for undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics courses Qualification Required: - Strong background in Numerical Analysis, Applied Mathematics, and Differential Equations - Proficiency in programming languages/tools like C++, Python, Julia, or MATLAB for scientific computing - Familiarity with finite element/finite difference for PDEs - Experience or strong interest in computational PDEs, HPC, or Scientific Machine Learning - Advanced research skills, including mathematical modeling and computational experimentation - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Masters degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or a related field - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively,
