Title Pet Handler/Trainer

As a Pet Handler in Gurgaon, Haryana, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the care, supervision, and enrichment of animals under your care. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the well-being, safety, and comfort of pets in various settings such as kennels, day-cares, grooming salons, veterinary clinics, and more. Your key responsibilities will include providing daily care for animals by feeding, watering, exercising, and administering medications as necessary. It will be essential to monitor the health of pets, watch out for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior, and promptly report any concerns to supervisors or veterinary staff. Additionally, you will be expected to perform basic grooming tasks like bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. Engaging pets in physical and mental activities to promote their well-being, ensuring safe interactions between pets, maintaining safety and security protocols, and keeping accurate records of each pet's care, health, and behavior are also part of your role. To excel in this position, you should have previous experience working with animals in a professional environment, such as a kennel, veterinary clinic, or animal shelter. While additional training or certification in animal care or pet handling is preferred, a strong understanding of animal behavior and basic veterinary care is essential. Your ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately, along with excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and colleagues, will be crucial. Being detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, having the physical stamina to perform tasks like lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods, and providing excellent customer service by effectively communicating with pet owners to provide updates, address concerns, and offer advice on pet care are key aspects of this role.
