Position Overview The Pattern Master is responsible for overseeing and managing the pattern-making process within the sampling unit of the garment industry. The role involves creating accurate patterns, collaborating with design teams, working on CAD software for marker planning, and ensuring high-quality patterns for sample development. Responsibilities Create precise and accurate patterns for garments, particularly menswear and womenswear, considering the specific requirements of fabrics and intricate designs. Utilize CAD software proficiently to develop, modify, and digitize patterns, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the pattern-making process. Work closely with design teams/merchandising to interpret design concepts and translate them into functional and feasible patterns, while ensuring alignment with aesthetic and technical specifications. Conduct grading activities to scale patterns across different sizes, adhering to size charts and fit standards for garments. Ensure patterns meet quality standards, maintain consistency, and facilitate ease of production during sampling and subsequent manufacturing processes. Manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively to meet sampling deadlines while ensuring quality and accuracy in pattern creation. Identify and troubleshoot pattern-related issues during sampling processes, offering solutions to overcome challenges in pattern development. The job holder is responsible for providing guidance and training to their team as needed. They must ensure their subordinates collaborate effectively to meet sampling targets and remain adaptable to sudden changes or short-notice adjustments in plans while maintaining efficient work practices. The job holder needs to coordinate with the design team concerning pattern making and with the sampling production team. Direction received.
