As an Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on various electrical systems including switchgear, motors, transformers, and control panels. Your key tasks will involve troubleshooting electrical faults in plant equipment and machinery, conducting root cause analysis for repeated failures, and ensuring proper cable management, earthing, and circuit protection measures are in place. You will also be involved in the installation of new electrical equipment and machinery, where you will assist in wiring, control panel assembly, and termination work. Monitoring electrical parameters such as voltage, current, and power factor to optimize efficiency will be a crucial part of your role. Following scheduled maintenance plans for electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs, and switchgear will be essential to your preventive and predictive maintenance duties. Inspecting, cleaning, and replacing electrical components as needed, along with using thermographic scanning and vibration analysis to detect potential failures early, will be part of your regular tasks. Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations from organizations such as CEA, OSHA, IS, IEC, etc., implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and adhering to proper PPE guidelines when handling high-voltage systems will be critical to maintaining a safe work environment. You will also participate in electrical safety audits and risk assessments. Monitoring and reporting power consumption trends to identify energy-saving opportunities and ensuring maximum power factor efficiency to reduce electrical losses will be part of your energy optimization responsibilities. Additionally, maintaining logbooks and preparing daily reports of electrical maintenance activities will be necessary.
