Therapy Assistant

As a Therapy Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work both individually and as part of an interprofessional team under the guidance of healthcare professionals such as audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreation therapists, or speech-language pathologists. Your role will involve contributing to the delivery of effective rehabilitation services for individuals of all ages, covering various stages of the health care continuum. This includes providing direct and indirect client care, as well as non-client service provision. Your responsibilities will extend to collaborating with internal and external partners, demonstrating professionalism, and upholding strong ethics in client-centered care and team collaboration. Furthermore, you will be expected to engage in reflective thinking and continuous learning to enhance your individual and team competencies. Your interpersonal and clinical skills will be put to use in activities such as quality improvement, program planning, and student supervision.
