TGT Spanish

Job Summary:

The TGT Spanish Teacher will be responsible for teaching Spanish as a third language to middle and secondary school students (Classes VIX) in alignment with CBSE curriculum guidelines. The teacher will foster communicative competence, cultural awareness, and interest in the Spanish language while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver well-structured Spanish lessons as per CBSE curriculum requirements.
• Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish.
• Design and administer classwork, assignments, projects, and assessments in accordance with CBSE standards.
• Incorporate interactive and innovative teaching methodologies to make language learning enjoyable and effective.
• Integrate cultural elements of Spanish-speaking countries to enhance student engagement and global awareness.
• Maintain accurate student records, track progress, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Organize and guide students in language-related events, competitions, cultural activities, and exhibitions.
• Attend departmental meetings, staff development sessions, and contribute to school initiatives.
• Ensure classroom discipline, uphold school values, and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Spanish with other subjects where feasible.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish / Graduate with a recognized diploma/certificate in Spanish language (minimum B2 level from Instituto Cervantes or equivalent).
• B.Ed. (preferred as per CBSE norms).
• Prior teaching experience in a CBSE/IB/ICSE school setting preferred.
• Strong command over spoken and written Spanish as well as English.
• Ability to use technology and digital tools effectively in teaching.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for language teaching and cultural exchange.
