Job Title: Secondary Social Science Teacher

Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Social Science Teacher to teach classes VI–X under the Matriculation curriculum. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, with the ability to make learning engaging, practical, and relevant to students’ everyday lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver interactive Social Science lessons in accordance with the Matriculation syllabus for classes VI–X.
• Teach subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, ensuring clarity and student understanding.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and activities that make concepts engaging and practical.
• Evaluate and assess students through class tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and awareness of social issues among students.
• Maintain records of students’ academic progress, attendance, and performance.
• Provide additional academic support and guidance to students when required.
• Participate actively in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development workshops.
• Foster a positive and disciplined classroom environment aligned with the school’s values.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Qualification: B.A./M.A. in History/Geography/Political Science/Economics (B.Ed. mandatory/preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level (freshers with strong subject skills may also be considered).
• In-depth knowledge of the Matriculation Social Science curriculum.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to integrate innovative teaching methods and digital tools.
• Passion for inspiring students to become responsible and informed citizens.
