As a Textile & Home Furnishing Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating new and trendy designs for various home items like rugs, bedsheets, cushions, and throws. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the production team to make samples, match colors, and ensure proper printing of designs. Additionally, you will utilize printing methods like hand block printing and ensure that all design files, fabric samples, and reference materials are well-organized. It is essential to understand customer preferences and current trends to develop collections that resonate with the target market. Collaboration with product and marketing teams is key to ensuring design alignment across the product range, while also ensuring that designs are easily printable and suitable for the chosen fabrics. Key Responsibilities: - Create new and trendy designs for rugs, bedsheets, cushions, and throws - Collaborate with the production team to make samples, match colors, and ensure proper printing - Utilize printing methods like hand block printing - Organize design files, fabric samples, and reference materials efficiently - Stay updated on customer preferences and current trends to drive successful collections - Work closely with product and marketing teams to maintain design coherence across the product range - Ensure designs are printable and suitable for chosen fabrics Required Skills: - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other textile design software - Strong understanding of surface design, color combinations, and textile behavior - Knowledge of various printing techniques and their practical applications - Experience in designing for rugs, bed linens, cushions, and throws - Strong sketching and pattern development abilities - Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Effective communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications: - Degree/Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field - Prior experience with home furnishing brands or export houses Experience: - Total work: 2 years (Preferred) - Design: 2 years (Preferred),
