Textile & Home Furnishing Designer

You will be a valuable addition to our team as a Textile & Home Furnishing Designer if you are highly creative and skilled in textile design. Your primary focus will be on creating surface print designs for various home decor items such as rugs, bedsheets, cushion covers, throws, curtains, and more. It is crucial for you to have a keen eye for trends, a deep understanding of materials, and practical knowledge of printing techniques. Your key responsibilities will include designing new and trendy patterns for home items, collaborating with the production team to create samples and ensure proper printing of designs, utilizing printing methods like hand block printing, maintaining organized design files and fabric samples, staying updated on customer preferences and current trends to create successful collections, coordinating with product and marketing teams to align designs with the overall product range, and ensuring that designs are easily printable and suitable for chosen fabrics. To excel in this role, you must have proficiency in software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, a strong grasp of surface design, color combinations, and textile behavior, knowledge of various printing techniques, prior experience in designing for home furnishing items, excellent sketching and pattern development skills, the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication and teamwork abilities. The ideal candidate will hold a Degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field, and preferably have previous experience working with home furnishing brands or export houses. A total of 2 years of work experience, with at least 2 years in design, is preferred for this role. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule that requires in-person work.,
