Job Description

As a Test Field Engineer at Siemens, your role involves planning and performing routine testing of circuit breakers according to relevant IEC & IS standards and customer requirements to ensure the highest quality product. You will also provide necessary training and guidance to workmen on new products for maximum quality output. Troubleshooting and resolving issues during routine testing, working in line with LEAN principles to suggest improvements, and offering feedback to execution engineers on drawing-related matters are key responsibilities. Additionally, a good knowledge of EHS guidelines for electrical/mechanical testing is essential. Your responsibilities include ensuring the readiness of breakers before customer inspections, both for export and domestic customers. You will be accountable for submitting compliance reports and incorporating necessary changes suggested by customers during inspections, ensuring implementation before dispatch. Preparation and submission of various reports to customers, including inspection reports, MOM, breaker witnessed reports, and RTCs along with calibration reports and relevant IEC & IS standards are part of your duties. Good business communication skills and familiarity with Windows Office software like Word and Excel are required, along with a basic understanding of EHS guidelines for electrical/mechanical testing. Qualifications required for this role include a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 1 to 2 years of experience or as a fresher, with a mandatory background in Electrical Engineering.
