Testing and Validation Engineer

As a Testing and Validation Engineer for the battery test team in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our early-stage vehicle prototypes and production-ready vehicles. Your strong drive, teamwork skills, and experience in bringing electric vehicles to production will be essential in meeting the high standards of homologation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Creating innovative applications of lab skills to enhance company products - Identifying root causes and replicating failure modes - Collaborating in the design and production of future products - Developing test equipment for mechanical, thermal, and electrical systems - Conducting validation tests on components, systems, and vehicles under various dynamic and environmental conditions - Executing Design of Experiments (DOEs) for new technologies or critical failures - Investigating device failures to drive product development and testing improvements - Planning, setting up, and executing cell/battery pack tests for performance, durability, and fleet validation - Documenting test results clearly and concisely - Writing and reviewing battery test specifications - Troubleshooting and resolving testing issues - Utilizing sensor instrumentation and data acquisition systems - Analyzing and managing test data from large datasets To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills: - Proficiency in instrumentation, coding, reliability testing, JMP software, DOE process optimization, quality management, attention to detail, characterization, and validation - Previous experience with battery testing on proving grounds - Strong understanding of Li-ion battery systems - Familiarity with battery testing regulations, standards, instrumentation, and tools - Ability to set up experiments to achieve desired testing outcomes - Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach - Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects With 2-5 years of experience, you are well-positioned to contribute significantly to our battery test team.,
