Tester III - Embedded Testing

As a Software Tester at UST in Coimbatore, your role involves independently executing test cases, supporting testing team members, and ensuring that new and revised components or systems perform as expected. You will be responsible for constructing test plans and scenarios based on customer requirements, creating and executing systematic test cases, and developing automation scripts for test specifications. Your key responsibilities include documenting test results, reporting defects, and ensuring the adherence to standards such as usability, performance, reliability, and compatibility. Key Responsibilities: - Construct test plan and scenarios based on customer requirements - Execute systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios - Create automation scripts for test specifications - Document test results and report defects - Ensure meeting of standards including usability, performance, reliability, or compatibility - Develop proficiency of other testers in the project - Develop and modify processes, practices, and procedures based on lessons learned Qualifications Required: - Certified in ISTQB Test Design, Development, and Execution - Ability to review requirements to identify ambiguities - Skill in developing test plans based on identified embedded modules - Ability to design test cases, scripts, and requirements - Proficiency in writing automation scripts and verifying - Familiarity with testing tools, standards, and relevant tools for embedded systems - Knowledge of testing types such as unit, integration, and system testing - Understanding of Agile Methods - Scrum and Kanban - Familiarity with embedded C programming, testing concepts, Python, and automation scripts In addition to the key responsibilities and qualifications, it is essential to have a strong knowledge of testing methodologies (manual + automation), experience with Automation Frameworks like Robot Framework and/or Playwright, proficiency in Python for test automation, and expertise in system testing for embedded systems (such as HVAC controllers). Good communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are crucial soft skills needed for this role. Domain knowledge in HVAC systems and control logic is considered a plus.
