Tester III - Embedded Testing

The role requires you to independently execute test cases while supporting testing team members in executing test cases. You will be responsible for constructing test plans and scenarios based on customer requirements and executing systematic test cases for embedded systems. Additionally, you will create automation scripts for test specifications and ensure that new or revised components/systems meet expectations. Documenting test results, reporting defects, and ensuring compliance with standards are also key responsibilities. You are expected to develop proficiency in other testers in the project and modify processes based on lessons learned. Timely completion of tasks, developing test cases/scripts, executing test cases/scripts, identifying defects, and adhering to project quality processes are some of the measures of outcomes. The role also involves reviewing function and software test specifications, creating automation scripts, adhering to Agile scrum processes, and providing status reports for test activities. To succeed in this role, you should be certified in ISTQB with expertise in test design, development, and execution. You must be able to test features and components with a good understanding of the business problem being addressed, conduct gap analysis between requirement specifications and test plans, and create test plan documents. Identifying testable modules, creating test cases/test data, conducting sanity testing, and logging/tracking defects are crucial tasks. You are expected to debug defects, manage regression tests/defect analysis reports, and estimate time/effort/resource dependence for your work. Collaborating with teams, reviewing requirements, designing test cases/scripts/requirements, and writing automation scripts are key skills required for this role. Knowledge of testing tools/standards, embedded systems tools, testing types, Agile methods, and programming languages like embedded C, Python, and automation scripts are essential. Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic testing and skills related to vehicle diagnostics will be advantageous.
