Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer, your role is crucial in preparing test cases and conducting testing for the product/platform/solution to be implemented at a client's end to ensure 100% quality assurance parameters are met. You will be responsible for understanding the test requirements, designing test cases, and authoring test planning based on business requirements and testable criteria. It is essential to implement Wipro's testing methodology, including Model based testing, to streamline test generation efficiently. Your key responsibilities include: - Collaborating with the development team to identify and document test cases, ensuring version control and alignment with the testing scope. - Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and automating the test life cycle through various tools like vb macros, scheduling, and GUI automation. - Designing and executing the automation framework, along with reporting, to contribute to software validation and quality assurance. Your role also involves detecting and documenting bug issues, preparing defect reports, and monitoring test progress to maintain project timelines and adherence to SLA's. Providing timely feedback on usability, serviceability, and quality risks is crucial for reporting to stakeholders. Regular status reporting, customer interaction, and updates on testing deliverables will ensure customer satisfaction and project success. Performance in this role will be measured based on the accuracy of understanding test requirements, error-free testing solutions, automation levels achieved, testing efficiency, on-time delivery, troubleshooting effectiveness, and customer satisfaction scores.
