Test Chip Design Engineer

As a Test Chip Design Engineer at our company, your role will involve developing test chips for IP validation, characterization, and post-silicon debugging to ensure smooth tape-out and reliable performance. You should have hands-on experience in test vehicle development and physical design. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute Test Chips/Test Vehicles for IP validation and characterization. - Perform Physical Design (PD) tasks including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and optimization. - Conduct Static Timing Analysis (STA) for timing closure across multiple corners and modes. - Execute Physical Verification (PV) tasks such as DRC, LVS, ERC, and antenna checks. - Collaborate with design, CAD, technology, and validation teams for tape-out. - Support post-silicon bring-up and debug activities. - Contribute to flow automation and process improvements. Qualification Required: - B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or VLSI Design. Mandatory Skills: - Strong Physical Design (PD) experience, floorplan to GDSII. - Expertise in STA and timing closure. - Hands-on PV experience (DRC/LVS). - Prior experience with Test Chips/Test Vehicles. Good to Have: - Understanding of full Front-to-Back design flow. - Familiarity with Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor EDA tools. - Scripting in TCL, Perl, Python for automation. - Experience in DFT or post-silicon debugging. - Knowledge of Foundry process technology.,
