Position Title: Part-Time Quality Control Inspector Raw Materials & In-Process Production (Textiles) Preferred Base Location: Ludhiana Engagement Model: Part-Time / Freelance (Man-Day Basis) Reporting Structure: To Quality Assurance and Sourcing Divisions Role Overview: The role entails the execution of on-site quality control functions focused on raw material verification and in-process production monitoring at vendor facilities. The incumbent will ensure strict adherence to material specifications, quality benchmarks, and production protocols as per company-defined standards. Core Responsibilities: Raw Material Quality Assessment: Conduct structured physical inspections of textile materials (GSM, Width, Colour Matching, Pile Length) at supplier warehouses or manufacturing premises. Validate conformity to pre-approved technical specifications. On-Site Testing & Evaluation: Utilize supplier infrastructure and available lab equipment to perform basic quality tests such as GSM, shrinkage, tensile strength, dimensional stability, and color fastness (as applicable). Inspection Documentation: Compile detailed inspection reports including photographic evidence, test readings, material deviations (if any), and corrective action recommendations. Ensure traceability and audit readiness of all documented inspections. Production Oversight: Conduct unannounced factory visits to evaluate ongoing production processes for alignment with approved samples, workmanship standards, and production timelines. Identify lapses in quality assurance during bulk manufacturing. Compliance Verification: Monitor supplier adherence to agreed production schedules, manufacturing processes, and internal quality checkpoints. Escalate deviations promptly to internal stakeholders. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with the sourcing, product development, and QA teams to flag non-compliance, material substitutions, or performance anomalies and drive prompt resolution. Candidate Requirements: Location Suitability: Must reside in or near Ludhiana to facilitate rapid deployment to supplier facilities with minimal lead time. Technical Competence: Strong foundational understanding of textile manufacturingincluding raw material sourcing, yarn/fabric construction, processing techniques, and finishing treatments. Quality Assurance Expertise: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in conducting field inspections, implementing quality control protocols, and interpreting textile test results. Equipment Familiarity: Working knowledge of laboratory testing tools such as GSM cutters, washing machines, crock meters, light boxes, tensile testers, etc. Operational Independence: Ability to conduct solo field visits, make quality-related judgment calls on-site, and report findings objectively without external direction. Reporting Proficiency: Competent in preparing digital inspection reports, utilizing photo/video documentation, and maintaining accurate logs for quality audits.

Primary purpose of the role Testing and Inspection of Mechanical tests like tensile testing, Impact, Hardness test (Brinell, Rock well, Vickers), Microscope tests like grain size, Decarb, Inclusion testing and interpretation. Major responsibilities -Reviews customer specifications and develops manufacturing methods -To maintain equipment logbook and keep the equipment in working order. -Managing daily routine work of the labs. -Support materials development, processes, and applications -Deep knowledge of metallurgy in any of the following alloy systems, Al, Ti, Ni, Co, and Fe -Any other duty assigned by lab in charge/HOD.

Responsibilities Complete prototype building and product testing in association with R&D Engineers. Complete process development to support new product development and implement manufacturing lines with the project teams. Conceptualize, source debug, and introduce new/improved Jig and Fixture designs. Preparation of Manufacturing Procedures & training of product builder personnel. Prepare and maintain Preventative Maintenance Schedules. Troubleshoot and repair line defective equipment. Ownership of line yield and output. Provide weekly updates and highlight yield issues and implement fixes to the team. Provide technical leadership and have the ability to motivate and influence production personnel. Display customer focus at all times and be accountable for quality and timeliness of own work. Compile IQ / OQ protocols and execution of same. Assist team in performing design testing. Fixture Maintenance /Calibration ownership for respective equipment. Basic understanding of QMS system. What your background should look like: Diploma in Mechanical /Production 2+ years experience in a similar role. Knowledge of Medical Device development/manufacture with previous work experience in Design an advantage. Jigs & Fixtures design and fabrication experience preferable. Experienced with all the popular software applications for generating office documents, spreadsheets, project plans, etc. Experience in execution of lab testing an advantagee.g. tensile testing, torque testing etc. Experienced in IQ/OQ/PPQ documentation preparation, execution. AutoCAD/Solid works experience preferable. Knowledge of Six-Sigma and Lean Engineering principles an advantage. Knowledge of equipment, process and product validation processes, ability with statistical data analysis. Dynamic, flexible approach to work with a results-oriented attitude. Comfortable operating within a team environment. Motivated to work on own initiative. Good communication and organisational skills. Proven track record of excellent timekeeping & attendance is essential. Basic Understanding of QMS Competencies

Job Responsibilities: 1. Document analysis procedures and the test results mainly bioburden testing, spectrophotometric testing and mechanical studies using UTM machines 2. Document product stability studies are completed satisfactorily and supported by correct product sample analysis 3. We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Quality Engineer with 4 to 6 years of specialized experience in Diesel Engine Materials Engineering and Metallurgical Analysis. This critical role is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity for our diesel engine components and systems. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting in-depth metallurgical analysis of raw materials, in-process components, and finished engine parts to assess their microstructure, mechanical properties, and compliance with specifications. You will be responsible for investigating material failures, root cause analysis of defects, and recommending corrective and preventive actions. This involves using a range of laboratory techniques such as microscopy (optical, SEM), hardness testing, tensile testing, impact testing, and spectroscopy. You will also develop and implement material quality control plans, inspect incoming materials, and manage supplier quality for critical engine components. A strong understanding of various materials used in diesel engines (e.g., cast iron, steel alloys, aluminum alloys) and their heat treatment processes is essential. You will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and R&D teams to provide material-related expertise, contribute to design for manufacturability and reliability, and improve overall product quality.
