About the Role
We are looking for an experienced engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance real-time communication systems. You will own the signaling, media handling, and session control layers that power global voice services. This role is highly technical and requires deep expertise in VoIP protocols and platforms.
What Youll DoDesign, implement, and operate carrier-grade real-time voice platforms.Build and maintain systems using Freeswitch, Kamailio, and RTP Engine, integrated with modern APIs.Own the SIP signaling flows, media handling, and session management for large-scale deployments.Optimize for performance, call quality, and security across cloud and datacenter environments.Collaborate with SRE and Product teams to ensure reliability, observability, and fast feature delivery.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in live production systems.
Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with:o SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) signaling, troubleshooting, debuggingo Freeswitch core telephony functions, call routing, conferencing, IVRo Node.js API development and service integrationSolid understanding of real-time communication systems and VoIP architecture.Experience working in high-availability, carrier-grade environments.
Preferred SkillsKamailio SIP routing, load balancing, scalingRTP Engine media proxy, NAT traversal, SRTP, transcodingPython or Go scripting and backend services
Nice to HaveKnowledge of SBCs, NAT traversal, QoS, and SRTPFamiliarity with cloud and on-prem hybrid deploymentsBackground in telecom, CPaaS, or unified communications
