The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation, and commissioning. Over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore, and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. As a Systems Tendering Specialist for INOPC PG, you will be part of Operation Center in India (INOPCPG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources, and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for ABB customers across markets. This provides high-quality engineering and commissioning support to Business Units and Center of Excellence across the ABB world, aligning with ABB's Global Foot Print strategy. PG Operation Center Services include System design, Primary side design, Secondary side design, Sourcing, Tendering, Installation, and commissioning. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing customer needs and preparing Bill of Materials, deviation list, and detailed product configurations. - Delivering accurate cost estimations as per tender scope of work. - Elaborating bid prices and offering strategy in coordination with the team manager. - Participating in the Risk Review process as needed in accordance with Company policy. - Verifying the commercial and legal interests of the offer with Front end Sales and Commercial & legal advisor. - Promoting process feedback to the organization. - Promoting a positive customer experience by submitting quality deliverables on time. - Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business. Your background should include: - Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronics. - 5-10 years of experience. - Sound knowledge in Telecom (SDH / PDH/Ethernet/MPLS-TP). - Knowledge of Power Line Carrier Communication and Teleprotection. - Experience with Electrical Utility Customers will be an advantage. - Prior engineering & tendering experience to handle tenders and manage risk assessments. - Very high awareness of quality and standardization including re-use. - Very good analytical skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
