Project Role Description Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Project Role DescriptionAct as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge.The Autosys Scheduler and Administrator is responsible for designing, scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining batch jobs within the Autosys scheduling environment. The role ensures seamless execution of batch processes, timely delivery of business-critical jobs, and quick resolution of job failures to maintain operational efficiency. Roles and Responsibilities:* Develop, configure, and manage Autosys job schedules according to business requirements.* Create, modify, and troubleshoot Autosys job definitions (Box jobs, Command jobs, File watcher jobs, etc.).* Monitor job executions, identify issues, and proactively resolve job failures to minimize downtime.* Coordinate with application teams and stakeholders to understand job dependencies and scheduling needs.* Maintain job documentation, including job flows, dependencies, and schedules.* Implement job automation and optimization to improve batch processing efficiency.* Ensure compliance with change management and audit requirements.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams for job deployment and environment management.* Provide support during production incidents and participate in root cause analysis.* Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning of batch jobs. Professional and Technical Skills:
* Strong knowledge of Autosys job scheduling and batch processing concepts.* Experience with Autosys utilities (autouxlog, autorep, jil, sendevent).* Ability to write and debug shell scripts or batch scripts for job automation.* Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and basic commands.* Good understanding of job dependencies, calendar schedules, and time zones.* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.* Experience with change management and production support processes.* Effective communication skills to coordinate with technical and business teams.* Experience with other scheduling tools or monitoring tools (optional but preferred).
Additional Information:The candidate should have a minimum of 7- 10 years in Autosys Scheduler & Administration Good to Have Skills Shell Scripting Programming Language Job RequirementsPython * Certifications in Autosys or related scheduling tools (optional).* Exposure to scripting languages like Python, Perl, or PowerShell.* Understanding of ETL processes, file transfer, cloud and integration with job scheduling.* Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT operations. Qualification 15 years full time education
