Job Title: STP Technician Department: Facilities / Maintenance / Utilities Location: Hyderabad Reports To: Manager No Of Position: 2 Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and reliable STP Technician to operate and maintain the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) system efficiently. The technician will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the STP equipment, meeting environmental and safety standards, and maintaining daily records. Key Responsibilities: • Operate and monitor the sewerage treatment plant systems, including pumps, motors, blowers, filters, and valves. • Regularly inspect STP equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance. • Manage dosing of chemicals and maintain proper water treatment parameters. • Collect water samples and conduct routine testing (pH, TSS, BOD, COD, etc.) to ensure compliance with discharge standards. • Maintain logs of plant operations, maintenance activities, and test results. • Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues in the plant and coordinate with the maintenance team for repair. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines. • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the STP premises. • Coordinate with vendors for spare parts or external maintenance requirements. Key Skills & Competencies: • Good knowledge of sewerage treatment processes (Activated Sludge Process, MBBR, SBR, etc.). • Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, motors, and control panels. • Ability to read and understand P&ID and electrical drawings. • Recordkeeping and basic reporting skills. • Awareness of safety practices and PPE use. Qualification & Experience: • Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering or equivalent. • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in operating and maintaining STP in residential, commercial, or industrial setups.
