Technician- Engineering Maintenance Associate

As a Manufacturing Equipment Technician at First Solar, your role will involve assisting in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment. You will troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing process and equipment issues, perform necessary maintenance and repair of equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner, and identify/implement system improvements to enhance throughput, yield, and product performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems under supervision - Perform on-site service and repair of equipment - Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements - Accomplish daily assignments as scheduled - Develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions - Set up and maintain gauges - Respond to SPC process control alarms - Execute planned process experiments, collect and analyze data, and report results - Collect data on daily tool performance and product performance - Transition new equipment and processes through start-up, qualification, and implementation - Provide training to production associates - Develop and update internal documentation - Interface with internal associates and supplier representatives - Maintain effective communication with the manufacturing team - Disposition non-conforming product according to established criteria - Adhere to all safety procedures and housekeeping standards - Complete First Solar Associate EMT training program - Ensure proper disposal of waste materials - Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures - Wear personal protective equipment as required **Qualifications Required:** - High School Diploma or GED - One or more years experience as a manufacturing operator/production associate/operations technician at First Solar or similar - Two or more years external experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting As a potential candidate for this role, you are expected to meet the education and experience requirements outlined above and excel in completing the responsibilities associated with the position.
