Role overview

Senior Technical Writer

Key responsibilities

1. API documentation

Write and maintain developer-facing docs (API references, authentication flows, request/response examples, SDK usage).

Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to ensure accuracy and clarity.

Build quickstart guides and code samples that accelerate integration.

1. Release notes

Write and maintain release notes, help guides, Whats New updates, and product announcements.

Translate technical changes into customer-friendly language.

Partner with PMs and CS to ensure docs align with enablement needs.

1. User & Admin guides

Create step-by-step guides, FAQs, and best practices for admins and end-users.

Keep knowledge base and product help center current and searchable.

1. Documentation infrastructure

Define templates, style guides, and standards for consistent docs.

Manage tooling (e.g., Swagger, Confluence, Git-based docs, CMS). ???

Proactively identify gaps and propose improvements to the documentation experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Technical Writer (developer and product documentation).
• Strong ability to write for both technical (engineers, developers) and non-technical (admins, end users) audiences.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools (Swagger, Readme, ???, etc.).
• Exposure to HTML/Markdown, Git workflows, or docs-as-code.
• Experience producing release notes and product launch content.
• Excellent written communication and information design skills.
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and CS.
• Experience in SaaS developer platforms a bonus
