Technical Writer (Software)

As a Technical Writer at our company based in Andheri, Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in creating a variety of documentation to cater to different audiences. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can develop troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, user manuals, and more. Your collaboration with engineering, product, and support teams will ensure that our documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and accessible to both technical users and end-users. Your responsibilities will include researching, writing, and maintaining a range of materials such as troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, user manuals, and system architecture overviews. You will also need to translate technical concepts into content suitable for various audiences, including developers, IT admins, and end-users with minimal technical background. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you will need to understand product updates and convert them into clear documentation. Additionally, you will collaborate with support teams to identify common issues and create self-service content. It is essential to maintain consistency with brand voice and style guidelines in all documentation. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment. You must demonstrate the ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences, create troubleshooting and support documentation, and possess strong interviewing, research, and collaboration skills. Excellent written English and editing abilities are also required. It would be advantageous if you have experience working with support or customer success teams, can understand code snippets (e.g., Python, JavaScript), are familiar with Docs-as-Code workflows and static site generators (MkDocs, Hugo, etc.), or have a background in technical support, QA, or software testing.,
