Job Description

About the Role

MEAN Stack Tech Lead

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

Lead end-to-end architecture, development, and deployment of MEAN stack applications.
Make well-informed design decisions on database structure, API design, scalability, and performance.
Define coding standards, best practices, and ensure compliance across the team.
Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and guide team members.

Development & Delivery

Build highly responsive, modular, and secure applications using Angular and Node.js.
Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Express.js.
Design and optimize MongoDB schemas for performance and scalability.
Integrate third-party services, authentication workflows, and microservices.

Team & Project Management

Mentor and support developers through guidance, training, and technical problem-solving.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders for requirement clarification.
Drive agile ceremoniessprint planning, estimation, retrospectives.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.

Quality & Performance

Implement CI/CD practices and automation with DevOps teams.
Ensure application security, performance tuning, and code quality improvements.
Proactively identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with the
MEAN Stack
(MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).
Expertise in
TypeScript
, ES6+, and asynchronous programming.
Strong understanding of
REST APIs
, microservices, and API security.
Experience with
MongoDB aggregation, indexing, and performance tuning
.
Familiarity with
cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP)
is a plus.
Experience with
CI/CD pipelines
, Git, Docker, Kubernetes is desirable.

Leadership & Soft Skills

Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problemsolving skills.
Ability to make architectural and design decisions independently.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice-to-Have

Experience with Hybrid Mobile Apps (Ionic/React Native).
Familiarity with performance monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, etc.).
Exposure to DevOps practices.
