Job Description

Role Overview: You will be independently executing mid-sized customer projects in various fields of VLSI Frontend Backend or Analog design with minimal supervision. Your role will involve working as an individual contributor and owning tasks related to RTL Design/Module. You will provide support and guidance to engineers in areas such as Verification, PD, DFT, Circuit Design, Analog Layout, STA, Synthesis, Design Checks, and Signoff. Your responsibilities will also include anticipating, diagnosing, and resolving problems by coordinating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will be expected to deliver high-quality outputs on time, automate design tasks flows, write scripts for generating reports, and come up with innovative ideas to reduce design cycle time and cost. Key Responsibilities: - Work as an individual contributor owning tasks related to RTL Design/Module - Provide support and guidance to engineers in Verification, PD, DFT, Circuit Design, Analog Layout, STA, Synthesis, Design Checks, and Signoff - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to anticipate, diagnose, and resolve problems - Deliver high-quality outputs on time approved by the project manager and client - Automate design tasks flows and write scripts for generating reports - Reduce design cycle time and cost by proposing and implementing novel ideas accepted by UST Manager and client Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or a related field - 8+ years of experience in physical design or CAD flow development for VLSI - Strong experience with EDA tools for physical design, including Synopsys ICC2, Cadence Innovus, or similar tools - Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python) to create and enhance CAD automation scripts - Understanding of PD flows, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and routing - Familiarity with timing closure and DRC/LVS signoff methodologies Additional Details: The PD CAD Engineer role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing physical design flows in collaboration with design and CAD teams. This role requires a deep understanding of EDA tools, physical design methodologies, and proficiency in scripting languages for automation. Key responsibilities include developing and supporting automated physical design (PD) CAD flows, customizing and optimizing physical design flows using industry-standard EDA tools, collaborating with design and CAD teams to improve PD workflows, implementing automation scripts using TCL, Perl, and Python, performing tool evaluations and benchmarking, and providing documentation, training, and support to the design team on PD flows and methodologies. Qualifications include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, or a related field, along with specific experience and skills related to physical design or CAD flow development for VLSI.,
