Job Description

As a Principal Engineer - Civil at Arcadis, you will play a key technical leadership role within multidisciplinary delivery teams working on various water and wastewater capital projects. Your responsibilities will include owning and managing day-to-day technical delivery, overseeing the development of colleagues, managing the production and verification of analysis and design, and supporting regional teams and clients through the technical decision-making process. You will also be involved in developing design methodologies, ensuring quality assurance, and resolving technical issues. Additionally, you will drive the culture of accountability within the team and engage in the development of engineering technology and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage day-to-day technical delivery - Oversee development of colleagues on complex projects - Manage production and verification of analysis and design - Support regional teams and clients through technical decision-making - Develop design methodologies for complex projects - Ensure quality assurance and resolve technical issues - Drive culture of accountability within the team - Engage in the development of engineering technology and systems Qualifications Required: - Around 10+ years of experience with a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in a relevant discipline - Chartered Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM - Significant experience in technical delivery of Water and Wastewater projects - Experience working on design and construct projects using digital design platforms - Feasibility to Construction design stage delivery experience Arcadis is committed to empowering every individual to be their best and believes in the importance of everyone's contribution.
