Job Title Technical Consultant Job Description Job title: Technical Consultant The Technical Consultant (TC) is responsible for following defined procedures and methodologies to install, configure, test, maintain and support hardware and software solutions, including problem identification, system architecture definition / specification, implementation, basic integration, validation and verification testing, customer education, solution activation, and system restoration The Technical Consultant works with a variety of customers across the globe to conceptualize, design and optimize Philips solutions with the aiming for customer success. Designing for these unique environments requires strong, proven design talent and a deep knowledge of technical and customer best practices in a variety of environments. Involve in planning & forecasting discussions for all the planned and unplanned activities Demonstrates leadership qualities with the ability to take decisive action. Strong communication skills as the role is customer-focused and will involve managing customer and stakeholder expectations. Strong understanding on infrastructure & infrastructure related components Analyzing & troubleshooting various compute and storage hardware (HPE, IBM & DELL) issues quickly and effectively that can be administered remotely. Good analytical knowledge on administering VMWare virtualized infrastructure which include Install, Configure, Manage virtualized infrastructure - HA, vMotion, DRS, EVS. Installation, configuration & management of OS and application(s). Creation of virtual machines, clones, snapshots, backup etc. Configuration modification to existing virtual machine(s) Troubleshooting issues. Provide infrastructure related technical consultation to both local & remote teams. Analyzing and troubleshooting Operating Systems issues quickly and effectively. Create and maintain documents all the actions taken during regular activity including problem description and resolution through internal tracking and knowledgebase system. Creating various reports for the metrics defined on periodic basics. Provide Support for hardware refresh, incremental storage orders, - All orders for which HLM team is responsible for. Assist with DC move projects. Demonstrate a high level of empathy for customer concerns. Work as a team member, integral to the successful implementation of targeted objectives. Document suggestions for continued improvements to internal systems and products. Technical Skillset: ESSENTIAL Great customer relations skills Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a product support, technical repair or troubleshooting capacity. Good organization, time management, and writing skills. Good knowledge hardware - Installation, configuration and maintenance methodologies - HP/DELL/IBM. Operating System - Install/Configure/Troubleshoot -Windows Server 2003/2008/2012. Good to have - Knowledge on scripting language (PowerShell, Python,VBScript, etc.). Proficient knowledge on overall server administration. Knowledge on Microsoft AD, DNS,GPO s, DHCP, IIS, MMQ etc. Good Knowledge on Storage concepts and administration - SAN,NAS and DAS. Knowledge on storage configurations - RAID and RAID groups, File systems(NTFS/VMFS/EXT3), SAN Zone creation & mapping, iSCSI, FC, NFS etc Knowledge on network Switch/Router , OSI layers. Good knowledge on industry standard virtualization technology. Good Analytical, Administration, troubleshooting skills on VMware Virtualization concepts such as - vCenter,Cluster, HA, DRS, vMotion,Cloning, Snapshot etc. Demonstrated effective oral communication skills; diction, grammar and tone Experience on Ticketing systems - SalesForce etc. DESIRED Technical degree PACS/DICOM experience (preferred but not mandatory) VMware experience/certification How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company s facilities.
