Job Description

As a Technical Analyst - Reference data technology at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence in the digital landscape. Your primary responsibilities will include harnessing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings and ensure unparalleled customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and analyze business problems and client requirements that require change within the organization. - Develop business requirements that address business problems and opportunities effectively. - Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations. - Support the creation of business cases justifying investment in proposed solutions. - Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions. - Create reports on project progress to ensure timely delivery within budget. - Design operational and process solutions to deliver proposed solutions within the agreed scope. - Support change management activities to successfully implement proposed solutions. Qualifications Required: - Degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent. - Proven business and functional analysis skills, particularly in a data domain. - Experience in data integration, mastering, and distribution. - Ability to gather requirements from senior project stakeholders in multiple global locations. - Knowledge of Agile Development Lifecycle (SCRUM). - Proficiency in analyzing data, mapping data, and designing functional solutions. - Hands-on experience with SQL queries. Additionally, highly valued skills may include: - Knowledge of Investment Banking and Client Reference Data. - Understanding of trade lifecycle, product types (bonds, equities, derivatives), and Trade Settlements. - Familiarity with tools like Visio, UML, MS Access, .NET, Confluence, and JIRA. This role is based in Pune and will require you to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with other functions and lead a team to deliver impactful work that affects the whole business function. Your role will involve setting objectives, coaching employees, and appraising performance to achieve desired outcomes. You will be expected to embody the Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, along with the Barclays Mindset to Empower, Challenge, and Drive in your day-to-day interactions.
