Tech Lead, Software Architecture

As a Tech Lead, Software Architecture at Fiserv, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support the company's business goals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include coding, testing, and debugging applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will also design internal tools, assist in prototyping for Fiserv software development, and provide solutions for data integration, data mapping, and clean-up. In this role, you will research, define, document, and prototype additions and changes to the ESF Framework under limited direction. Analyzing technical specifications for application compatibility with other systems, you will participate in strategic planning sessions and technical discussions, translating ideas into technical designs. Additionally, you will work on resolving production defects, maintain and enhance existing codebases, and lead peer review processes. Mentoring junior developers and providing technical guidance to enhance team capabilities will also be part of your responsibilities. Basic qualifications for consideration include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education, 8-10 years of experience in coding and testing technical solutions, 5+ years of Java experience, 3+ years of Springboot applications experience, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices and Agile methodologies. Preferred skills and experience include a background in the financial services industry, creativity, self-motivation, problem-solving skills, effective communication, multi-tasking abilities, and strong analytical skills. Experience with Java development, Spring framework, Springboot, RESTAPIs design, Swagger API documentation, CICD using Jenkins, object-oriented programming, design patterns, Dockers, and Kubernetes is desirable.
