Tech Lead, Software Architecture

As a Tech Lead, Software Architecture at Fiserv, you play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your responsibilities include coding, testing, and debugging applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, you design internal tools, assist in prototyping for Fiserv software development, and provide solutions for data integration and clean-up. In this role, you research, define, document, and prototype additions and changes to the ESF Framework under limited direction. You analyze technical specifications for application creation or enhancement and participate in strategic planning sessions to translate ideas into technical designs. Resolving production defects, maintaining existing codebases, and leading peer review processes are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities. Basic qualifications for consideration include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education, 8-10 years of experience in coding and testing, 5+ years of Java experience, 3+ years of Springboot applications experience, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Preferred skills and experience involve financial services industry experience, proficiency in Java development, Spring framework, Springboot, RESTAPIs design, Swagger API documentation, CICD using Jenkins, object-oriented programming, design patterns, Dockers, and Kubernetes.
