Job Description

Team Leader - Accounting & Audit
  1. Financial Statements & Audits

  • Preparation of Financial Statements as per Schedule III of the Companies Act.
  • Preparation of Audit Schedules for: Tax Audit, Transfer Pricing Audit, Internal Financial Control Reporting (IFCR) and Risk Control Matrix (RCM), Cost Audit.
  • Coordinate with Internal Auditors for quarterly reviews and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Liaise with Group Internal Auditors and Statutory Auditors for smooth finalization of audited financials.

2. Statutory Returns & Assessments

  • Collect GST, PAN, and MSME declarations from suppliers.
  • File MSME Returns within statutory timelines.
  • Prepare and file Monthly WHT (TDS) Returns as per applicable sections.
  • Prepare and file Quarterly TDS Returns and issue Form 16A certificates.
  • Review, reconcile, and file Monthly GST Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-2A, GSTR-3B) ensuring matching with GL and ECL balances.
  • Follow up with vendors for unclaimed Input Tax Credit (ITC) and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Prepare and file Annual GST Returns.
  • Prepare workings for Tax, GST, Customs, and DGFT assessments and coordinate with consultants for completion.

3. Income Tax

  • Prepare and remit Advance Tax on a quarterly basis.
  • Compute Deferred Tax and Minimum Alternate Tax (MAT) workings.
  • Compute Annual Income Tax and ensure timely filing of Income Tax Returns.

4. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Define, document, and implement SOPs for all functions.
  • Ensure periodic review and updates based on audit findings and process improvements.

5. Prokura Guidelines

  • Prepare and maintain Internal Financial Controls (IFC) for each finance work area.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Prokura guidelines and authorization matrix without deviation.
  • Reinforce accountability and compliance across all financial operations.

  • MBA or M.Com with 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience with one of the Big Four auditing firms is essential.
  • Familiarity with SAP or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
