The Role Responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts to exact engineering requirements and aligning with standard operating procedures to meet customer expectations of quality, cost and on-time delivery. Understand the sequence of the build in line with requirements. Read and interpret assembly drawings. Fit and assemble components to meet production requirements. Determine the correct equipment and methods to use. Participation and involvement with Company Quality Procedure and Standards, ensuring timely identification, communication and recording of all quality issues. Review parts availability in MSD including follow-up on daily purchasing requirements, expediting, and past due purchase orders. Provide forecast for part requirements to suppliers. Provide feedback to the production team concerning parts availability and shortages. Work with Stores to resolve purchase order receipt discrepancies. Work with sourcing team on inventory reduction initiatives. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
