Description
As a QA Automation Engineer Team Lead with 5 years of experience, you will be responsible for overseeing QA automation efforts and leading a team of test engineers. Your role will involve defining and implementing test automation strategies, developing automated test suites, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving test coverage and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of QA automation engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. - Define, implement, and maintain test automation strategies and frameworks. - Develop and execute robust automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers. - Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases. - Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups to ensure QA alignment. - Perform code reviews of automation scripts and ensure adherence to best practices. - Own and manage the QA environment setup, data creation, and test configuration. - Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work closely with development to resolve issues. - Continuously evaluate and improve test coverage, speed, and effectiveness. - Report QA metrics and provide risk assessments to leadership. Required Skills: - Strong experience in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent test automation frameworks. - Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting automation. - Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. - Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools. - Experience with BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow. - Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA lifecycle. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and cross-browser testing tools is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in leading or mentoring QA teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - ISTQB certification is a plus. Soft Skills: - Leadership with a collaborative mindset. - Detail-oriented and quality-focused. - Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively. - Proactive in identifying bottlenecks and process improvements.
