Role Overview

We are seeking a Proofreading Team Lead responsible for overseeing the review of written content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to grammatical and stylistic standards. The Proofreading Team Lead will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and professionalism of written materials, including but not limited to documents, articles, marketing materials, websites, and publications, ensuring the accuracy and quality of various types of content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of proofreaders to ensure high-quality output and adherence to deadlines.
• Content Review: Oversee the review of written content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure consistency in language, formatting, and style throughout all documents and publications.
• Editing: Provide light editing to improve the clarity, coherence, and flow of text while preserving the author's voice.
• Brand Compliance: Verify proper usage of terminology and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Factual Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of factual information, including dates, names, statistics, and references.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with writers, editors, and other team members to address feedback and revisions.
• Process Improvement: Identify recurring errors or areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Final Review: Conduct thorough final reviews to ensure all corrections have been implemented accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred 
• Previous experience in a managerial role.
