Team Lead- Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Team Lead, Forward Deployed Engineering at Bluecore, you will play a pivotal role in managing a team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) while also being responsible for the operational success of the FDE unit. Your primary focus will be on understanding, advising, and implementing data feeds and website scripts to create and maintain a data ecosystem that powers Bluecore's platform. **Responsibilities:** - **Team Lead:** - Recruit, hire, coach, and manage a team of FDEs, fostering a culture of communication, learning, and continuous improvement. - Develop a deep understanding of Bluecore's technical operations to serve as an escalation point for internal stakeholders and external clients. - Facilitate the day-to-day responsibilities of FDEs, providing guidance, assistance, or escalation as needed to ensure the timeliness and quality of the team's output. - Foster innovation and technical excellence by identifying and driving improvements for clients and team members. - **Forward Deployed Engineer:** - Understand Bluecore's and clients" platforms, capabilities, and constraints. - Collaborate with internal team members and clients to align on outcomes, requirements, and any blockers when scoping or performing code updates. - Write and maintain custom solutions including JavaScript code deployed on clients" ecommerce websites, data ingestion and export jobs in Python and/or SQL, and JavaScript code in Google Cloud Functions for data transfer. - Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure consistency and accuracy of client data. **Requirements:** - 5+ years of full-time work experience at a tech company or startup. - Experience in developing using web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, SQL, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, tag management, and git. - Formal degree, work experience, or personal projects are required. - Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with cloud-based workflow tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Nice to Haves:** - Marketing technology experience and knowledge of eCommerce platforms and Email Service Providers (ESPs). - Previous leadership experience.
