Team Lead - Environmental & Employee Health and Safety

Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the best safety standards are followed in the organization and the certification of ISO.

Work Youll Do

• Internalizing EHS Policy and strengthening safety culture through motivational & awareness programs, safety campaigns, and training.
• Responsible for safety & environmental compliance with local & state requirements.
• Compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 management systems, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Manage fire safety and environmental compliance as per various statutory guidelines.
• Plan & perform safety visits, safety audits (internal & external), and collaborate with concerned departments for corrective actions.
• Ensure timely liaison with government and statutory authorities for managing any queries/compliance.
• On-site emergency preparedness and periodic mock drills.
• Responsible for Security Management.
• Monitor and ensure effective documentation related to EHS systems, procedures, and practices.

This role will be a leading role in the EHS Department.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor&aposs degree in Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Industrial hygiene and safety, post-graduate diploma in industrial safety, with a minimum of 12 years

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in handling EHS in the Manufacturing / Engineering Unit.
